Every Woman - Restored to Serve

"He Restoreth my soul..." Psalms 23:3

The Women's Ministries department exists to uphold, encourage and challenge Seventh-day Adventist women in their pilgrimage as disciples of Jesus Christ and members of His world church.

Over the last year we have been working to improve communication between the conference and the local churches and to provide ongoing training opportunities for local Women's Ministries leaders.

Department Vision: "Every Woman - Restored to Serve", and it is our sincere hope that, through our programmes and support and through sharing with one another, that our women will continue in personal and spiritual growth.

Our Goals for 2011:

1. Continue to raise awareness of the work of the WM department in the NEC
2. Area Leaders actively involved in the Department
3. Provide quality needs- based events that supports our vision for the department
4. Re-connect with those no longer coming to church.
5. Start active mentoring programmes for young women in all churches.
6. Commence planning to provide a comprehensive, well run service to hurting women in the form of practical support and assistance, sensible, Biblically- inspired advice within a sustainable structure, with the overall aim of leading women to a more meaningful relationship with Christ.

We would also like to harness the immense amount of knowledge, skill, talent and resourcefulness of the women in this conference to help us provide a meaningful, relevant and Christ-centred support for our women, of all ages and ethnic backgrounds, to be nurtured and encouraged to be all they can be in Christ. If you have ideas, skills or some other useful input, please get in touch.

“Today's Christian women are sleeping giants, and when we finally awake, we will join the ranks of Esther, Ruth, Mary and Martha.” - Unknown.
