The Stewardship Department would like to express our appreciation to the NEC membership for their continued faithfulness and generosity to the work of the Lord in these challenging economic times. The tithe figures show that there has been a 3% increase in tithe for the 1st quarter of 2010. We rejoice at this trend and ask for your continued faithfulness and prayers as steps are taken to put the NEC finances on a more sustainable footing going forward. The true test of loyalty is not seen in times of abundance but in times of challenge and hardship. The crucial issues that we face are not primarily issues of money and material resources but about love and commitment to God’s eternal mission on earth. Stewardship is essentially about whole-life management, where every aspect of our lives are given as a sacrifice to God and lived in the light of eternity. Let us all put our shoulders to the wheel and do the work that God has called us to, remembering always that “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much.” Luke 16:10
