Four young people were baptised at the Doncaster church during the NEC Year of evangelism as a result of the Operation Andrew Outreach programme. Under the theme ‘Hope for Troubled Times,’ this evangelistic programme was held in April 2009. The programme featured extensive home Bible studies with interested contacts from the community followed up by public lectures.
Frank (Centre of picture, next to mum) responded and decided to be baptised at the NEC Pathfinders Camporee, one week later Lovejoy (far left) approached his parents around 11 pm on Friday, the eve of the Baptism, and requested to be included in the numbers for baptism. Thami had returned to church after encouragement from his friends, while Zinhle, a former Catholic, made her commitment as she explored the scripture with her pastor. Indeed it is a joy to see young people committing their lives to God as a result of the operation of Holy Spirit.
