Dudley House School Receives Excellent Ofstead Report

Dudley House SchoolThe Dudley House Adventist school in Grantham has had an excellent Ofstead report from Her Majesty’s Inpectorate of Schools. The school which was established in 1966 serves the local church and wider community. It has an enrolment of 50 children and seeks to not just to teach the three r’s but to create citizens for heaven.

This is the second inspection of the school, it was first inspected in May 2007. The inspection focussed primarily on the lqualityof education provided by the school, its provision for the pupil's spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, the arrangements for safeguarding pupils and the improvements the school has made since its last inspection.

The Ofstead report describes the school's educational provision as "good throught the school, including the Early Years." All pupils are seen to be making excellent progress academically and exibits "excellent progress in their personal development. This is because teaching is effective and the curriculum is good."

The parents and community holds the school in high regard and demonstrates this by supporting the school as presently the non-Adventist cohort in the student body is larger than the Adventist. Paul Howarth NEC Executive Secretary commenting on the Report said, "This is ann excellent report and we are very proud of the team that is leading out in the school and are providing excellence in education for the benefit of the church and the wider community."
