Singing Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Songs...

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. Col.3:16

The role of the NEC Music Advisor is a sponsorship position and exists to

  • Promote the use of church music in harmony with the principles of the Seventh-day Adventist Church;
  • Identify and develop Christian music resources for the support of music leaders
  • Liaise with pastors and worship leaders to suggest and facilitate training, presentations and support as needed;
  • Coordinate, link and exchange information and resources between groups and individuals;
  • Assist in the planning of music for Conference organized events and encourage the development of area programs and projects;
  • Obtain a clear picture of what is currently happening in across the North England Conference of Seventh-day Adventists by compiling a Music Report from the local church Music Co-ordinator.

A word of thanks is due to those local church music co-ordinators, organists, pianists, choir leaders, instrumentalists or singers, who continue to keep the music going in local congregations. Please do report your activities and offer your suggestions. Your church board may want to send a delegate, or to sponsor a young person to attend NEC Music workshops and events.

On behalf of the NEC musicians I would solicit and thank you for your continued prayers in support for the work of the ministry across the North England Conference.

Please use every opportunity to actively encourage your local leaders and musicians to involve themselves in musical developments across the conference as well as to enhance music amongst our congregations. If you would like to be informed of future workshop, training and events please contact me directly on the email below.
