The Wise Man said in Proverbs 15:22 (NIV), “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with
many advisers they succeed.” This
Sunday
will
see
the
convening
of
the North England Conference’s first
Town Hall Meeting for the northern section of the constituency in
Manchester. It is an opportunity for the Executive officers to
report to the constituency on the progress made by the Conference over
the first half of their term and to outline their plans for the future.
The meeting for the southern section of the Conference will be held next Sunday at Camp Hill in Birmingham.
These meetings are an excellent opportunity for the membership to hold
the Conference leadership to account, to express any concerns they
might have and to make pertinent suggestions for the effective
advancement of the work of the church. Town Hall Meetings are an
important opportunity for communication and feedback and each church
should ensure that it is represented and that their voice is heard to
the greater benefit of all. As outlined in the flyer following, the
session will run from 10 am until 12.30. Attendance is not just for
church officers but for anyone that has the best interest of the church
at heart and wishes to attend. Pastor Sweeney and his team look forward
to your support.
Also, a reminder that a
special one night Heath Seminar entitled 'From Health to Him' with Don
Mackintosh will take place this
evening from 7:30pm - 9pm, followed by the School of the Prophets 9 (Friday
7:30pm - 9pm and all day Saturday) where Don will present "The Science
of Salvation through the Sanctuary". Both events will take place at the
Yardley Seventh-day
Adventist Church, Berkeley
Road East, Hay Mills, Birmingham B25 8NW
