Functions

The department faciliates the following functions:

1. News and information
2. Public relations and media relations
3. Media production services
4. Crisis communication
5. Online services

Goals

1. Conduct Crisis Management Training for administration and local churches and institutions
2. Work with higher organisations to Develop and implement Public Relations program for the church, including community relations
3. Establish and facilitate Media Relations with secular media
4. Deliver current news and information through Web site, Messenger, NEC Communicator, other church media and other web media.
5. Operate the church's main Web site, www.necadventist.org.uk
6. Continue to implement involvement in global Internet ministry
7. Facilitate media productions and development of communication resources

Goal: To strengthen the mission and ministry of the North England Conference churches through effective communications
